How Do You Remove Grease From Automobile Paint?
Light grease deposits on your car’s paint can be removed simply by washing the car, but heavier deposits may require the use of a solvent. Grease spots should be removed as soon as they are found. Grease that is left on a car’s painted surface will attract dirt. If someone should accidentally rub against this trapped dirt it will act like sandpaper and damage the car’s finish. Wipe the grease from the car’s finish with a soft cloth. Wash the area where the grease spot was with hot soapy water and rinse well. Remove any remaining grease with brake parts cleaner, such as that made by Pyroil, Gunk, CRC and many others. Ask at your local parts store for non-chlorinated brake parts cleaner.
