Glue stains on Berber carpet can be upsetting. Before despairing too much, though, there are some stain removal techniques to try that may successfully remove all traces of the glue stains. It is important to work at a glue stain as quickly as possible after it occurs for the best results. Wipe off as much moist glue as you can as soon as possible with a damp cloth. Use another damp cloth to blot at the stain. Work from the outer edges in toward the middle of the stained area. Do not scrub at the glue stain, because this could damage the carpet fibers. Apply a very small amount of isopropyl alcohol to a clean cloth if the stain remains. Blot at the stain with the cloth. Rinse the stained area with warm water and treat it again with more isopropyl alcohol if the stain remains. Rinse again when finished. Moisten the stain lightly with hydrogen peroxide if the stain persists. Allow the hydrogen peroxide to sit on the stain for one hour. After allowing to sit, blot at the stain and repeat
