How Do You Remove Glue Residue From Fabric?
Glue will stick to nearly any surface, making it a valuable tool for construction workers, artists and craftsmen as well as others. Unfortunately, glue also holds strongly to fabric, even when we don’t want it to. Removing clinging residual glue from fabric can be an arduous project, but with some determination and a few at-home remedies you can remove these pesky stains. Scrape any loose glue residue from the fabric using the blunt edge of a butter knife or spoon. Peel any lose strips using your fingernails. Rub a piece of scotch tape, masking tape or duct tape over the glue residue and quickly pull it off. The glue residue may stick to the underside of the tape and come free when the tape is removed. Peel away any loose ends that come up with the tape. Boil water on a stove. Add the glue-stained garment and allow it to boil for at least a minute.
