How Do You Remove Glue From Steel Doors?
If you have a stainless steel refrigerator or any other type of steel appliance or door, then you have probably taped something to it in the past. When you finally decided to remove that item, you likely found that there was some sticky adhesive glue residue remaining on your previously pristine door. While with other doors you could just scrub this off, using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers on steel doors can cause permanent damage to the metal surface. Apply the nail polish remover to the adhesive. Soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover and press it on the area with the adhesive so that the adhesive is fully saturated. Hold the saturated cotton ball in place for about a minute. Do not remove it from the surface or the nail polish remover will quickly evaporate. Scrape the adhesive off the metal surface with the plastic scraper. Plastic will not hurt the steel’s surface, but it will get the glue off.
