To successfully remove an infection within your system, do the following: 1. Turn off your system. To do this properly, click the Start menu, (For Vista/7 users: Click the Orb) and select shut down. 2. Turn the system back on. 3. Before windows loads, press F8. 4. Select “Safe Mode With Networking”. (Safe Mode allows the minimal amount of drivers to boot your OS.) Once in safe Mode: 1. Try your restore. (sometimes viruses will disable and delete restores so it may not work) 2. Install Avira, Avast, Malwarebytes, and Comodo (Comodo if you have enough resources) from filehippo 3. Install, update and if those fail, do it manually per instructions on Google. 4. Create another restore point. 5. You may want to create an image of you HD. With Windows 7 Ultimate, it takes me 15 minutes to complete reinstall my OS. *If you install Avira on Windows 7, uninstall it afterwards.
