How Do You Remove Furniture Polish Stains From Upholstery?
As you stand back and admire your newly dusted and polished furniture, your eyes come to rest upon an area you aren’t so proud of. Sometimes furniture polish finds its way to things it shouldn’t be on. When it gets onto your upholstered items it leaves an irritatingly noticeable stain behind. With the proper knowhow, removing these ugly stains isn’t as difficult as you would assume it to be. Blot up as much of the stain as possible if it is fresh with a clean cloth or paper towels. Don’t push too hard on the fabric or you could push the polish in deeper and make the stain harder to remove. Apply dry cleaning solvent to a clean dry cloth. Blot the stain gently. Continue to apply more of the solvent and blot until the stain is no longer visible. Rinse the area with a clean cloth dipped in a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Place a fan nearby to help the upholstery dry faster.
