How Do You Remove Flower Pollen From Clothes?
Pollen allergies are often aggravated by weather conditions. A change in wind direction or humidity index can affect symptoms, as pollen is carried in the air. By removing pollen from clothing, it not only decreases exposure, but prevents stains to the fabric. Laundering is a logical solution. However, when measures are taken to extract pollen before laundering, the risk of transferring pollen to other garments, or spreading it to upholstery and bedding, is reduced. Washable Fabric Step 1 Take the garment outdoors and shake it briskly. This will remove the bulk of the pollen. Step 2 Loop a piece of masking tape around your fingers or palm. Press the tape to the fabric. Particles will stick to the tape and lift away from the fabric. Step 3 Vacuum the fabric to remove additional residual pollen. Step 4 Pretreat the affected area with laundry detergent or a spot cleaner. Step 5 Add bleach to the wash and launder the item as recommended by the care instructions. Dry Clean Only Step 1 Shake
