Once in awhile an accident happens and nail polish is spilled on clothing or surfaces. The quicker you respond, the more likely you are to remove the fingernail polish stain. However there’s still hope for removing older stains. Using supplies from home and your local beauty supply store, you’ll be able to restore your clothing or surface to its pre-stained condition. Lay a clean, old towel down on your work surface. Use a towel that’s old, in case any of the nail polish stain transfers to it. Place the nail polish-stained garment on the towel, with the stain side face up. Pour straight acetone onto the fingernail polish stain. Allow the liquid to sit on your garment for a minute.
