How Do You Remove Fingernail Polish From Cotton Fabric?
Nail polish plays a big part in changing and enhancing the look of your hands by lending color. That same color can be a disaster if it gets onto anything except your nails. If you find yourself with a nail polish stain on cotton, it can seem like a hopeless endeavor, but don’t be discouraged. This seemingly impossible stain can be removed with the right materials and a little work. Use a plastic scraper to gently scrape away dried nail polish. If it’s still damp, use paper towels to blot up excess. Dampen a clean cloth with non-acetone nail polish remover and wring it out well. Wipe the stain gently with the cloth, being sure to work from the outside of the stain inward to avoid spreading it. Launder the fabric with a bleach-free detergent. Inspect the fabric after it’s done washing and repeat the process if any of the stain remains before putting it into the dryer. Use a plastic scraper to gently scrape away dried nail polish.
