How Do You Remove Facial Age Spots?
Age spots on the face are common and can cause the skin to look older. Luckily, there are methods that can diminish the appearance of facial age spots, allowing the skin to have a more even tone. Apply a lemon juice toner after washing the skin. Soak a cotton ball in lemon juice, and apply it directly to the areas affected by age spots. The acid in the lemon juice helps lift the dead skin cells and allows new skin cells to develop. Use baking soda as a mild exfoliate. Baking soda, which is also known as sodium bicarbonate, is alkaline and helps lighten the skin and remove dead skin cells. Mix 1 tbsp. of baking soda with 1 tsp. of water, and massage the mixture on the age spots for a minute. Rinse well with water. Consult a dermatologist. There are many new treatments that can remove age spots quickly, such as chemical peels and laser skin resurfacing. Although these treatments are not invasive, they can produce a few side effects, such as redness, peeling and mild swelling.
