Many know how to hard boil and dye eggs, but there is another method that is simple and will create an egg to decorate and show, not hide. Find an egg that is fresh and as symmetrical as possible. Find a needle that is small enough to pierce through the shell without causing a large enough hole to compromise the integrity of the shell structure. Hold the egg securely in your hand and try to punch a hole in the top of the egg. Try to do this in one swift motion to avoid causing splintering and cracking of the area around the hole. Repeat this process for the bottom of the egg. Do this over a bowl, in case the egg breaks.
