How Do You Remove Dried Oven Cleaner?
Oven cleaner is used not only for cleaning ovens, but for removing caked-on grime from pots, pans and even stove tops. Oven cleaner is easy to use and works within a few minutes. But if oven cleaner is left to dry in your oven or on another surface, it can be difficult to remove. Dried oven cleaner must be “re-activated” so it can be removed without damaging the oven or other surface. Spray oven cleaner lightly over the dried oven cleaner spot or stain. Wear rubber gloves and a nose mask. Let the oven cleaner sit for 30 minutes. Wet a sponge with hot water from your kitchen sink. Wring out excess water. Scrub the oven cleaner spot or stain with the damp sponge to break up the dried chemical. Rinse the sponge out with hot water. Wring out excess water. Wipe the area where the dried oven cleaner was with the damp sponge. Soak the sponge in 2 tbsp. of white vinegar. Scrub the area where the dried oven cleaner was with the vinegar-soaked sponge to neutralize the area. Rinse the sponge out
