How do you remove double sided tape from a mirror?

Start by placing a piece of paper over the exposed side of the tape.  This will keep the tape from sticking to your hand or tool during removal.  With the edge of a razor blade,  gently peel back the tape until it is completely off the mirror.  There will probably be sticky residue still on the mirror from the tape.  This can easily be removed with 70% rubbing alcohol or Nail Polish Remover Containing Acetone.  Apply the liquid with a cloth and rub over sticky area until surface of mirror is clean.

The lesson I learned is, “Never put up a mirror without thinking about how you are going to be able to take it down. Never use mirror glue or double sided tape to stick a mirror directly to sheet rock!!!
