Your first inclination may be to throw the vest in the back of the closet. Before you banish your leather vest from your wardrobe, try getting rid of the stains yourself. You can find all of the things that you need to get rid of those nasty stains and make that vest look as good as new in your local market. Turn your vest inside out; this will allow you better access to the stained area. Pour one part white vinegar and two parts linseed oil in a bowl, and mix with a spoon. You can also boil two parts linseed oil and allow it to cool before adding one part white vinegar. Dip a clean towel into the solution, and rub on the stain. Continue rubbing until the stain begins to come up. Once the stain disappears, allow the vest to dry in a warm place.
