Run the iron over the paper towel-covered area until the crayon on the chalkboard melts into the towel to be absorbed by the fibers. Wash gently with degreaser afterward to remove any remaining traces of crayon. Use a polyester scrub sponge and a little degreaser. Gently rub degreaser over the crayoned area. Wait 10 to 15 minutes for degreaser to eat away the crayon. Wipe with water to rinse. Apply a 1/4-sized amount of toothpaste to a terry cloth rag.
