How Do You Remove Coffee Stains From Carpeting?
Many of us need our coffee in the morning to wake up and start the day. Sometimes though, the coffee doesn’t quite wake you up all the way and you spill it. There is nothing worse than starting your day with spilled coffee, especially if it gets on your carpet. Luckily, there is a solution that will get you back on your way in no time. Blot the stain with a white washcloth until the coffee no longer appears on the cloth. Pour a small amount of dishwashing liquid onto the stained area and gently rub it into the stain. Let it sit for five to 10 minutes; longer if it is a large stain. Mix two tablespoons of white vinegar with two cups of warm water while the stain is soaking. Dip a washcloth into this mixture and dab the affected area with the cloth until you can no longer see coffee on the cloth. Lay paper towels across the area and blot to remove the vinegar and water mixture. This avoids leaving a vinegar smell in your carpet.
