How Do You Remove Cigarette Smell From Leather Purse?

0

I recently bought a purse on Ebay and it reeked of perfume and strong cigarette smoke. I decided to save some money by trying to remove the smell myself and was successful! Place stinky purse in front of a fan on high speed for one hour. Rotate the purse every 15 minutes. With a damp paper towel, wipe the purse to remove any dirt. Place purse in the dryer but sitting on a drying rack so it doesn’t get tossed around in the dryer. Let the dryer run on air only setting (no heat) for 1/2 hour. Open dryer and place two very damp paper towels onto the purse or on the dryer rack. Take masking tape and tape a dryer sheet to each one of the shelves inside the dryer (you’re ultimately using 3-4 dryer sheets). If you skip this step the dryer sheets will stay in one place while the dryer tumbles. Now on extra low heat, let dryer run for 15 minutes. Remove purse, wipe again with a damp paper towel then slather with leather conditioner. Test a spot first to ensure it doesn’t cause discoloration. Aga
