Rachel O’Regan, a nice Irish name. Rachel I think one of the only ways to remove bad chemical stains from stainless steel is to buff it out. I assume you don’t have a grinder with a buffing pad (most people don’t) but If you have a something like a Dremel rotary tool, what you can do is put on the buffing attachment and buff it out. But try to go with the finest buffer you have because if you go with a rough grinding attachment you’ll leave scratches and rough patches on the steel. If you don’t have that then a good idea would be to go to a hardware store and buy fine sand paper- it’s cheap, and there are several different levels of fineness and the more subtle or minimal the roughness the better the finish- that way you won’t notice any difference in glare. If you get confused with what you’re looking for you can just ask one of the workers and I’m sure they would know what you’re talking about. After you buy the sand paper just give it some good old fashion elbow grease and it should
