There is a way to remove the foul odor from your carpet. If the cat or dog urine has dried and left a stain, this will also work to remove the satin. It is a multi step process, but it works and is worth the effort. Use white paper towels or a white rag to blot up the cat or dog urine if it hasn’t already dried. Only use white because a rag or paper towels with color can bleed onto your carpet. If it has dried, go begin with the next step. Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of a mild laundry detergent with 1 cup of warm water. Pour the mixture over the area that has the pet urine odor or stain and allow it to sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
