How Do You Remove Car Grease Or Oil Stains Form Clothing?
Remove grease or oil stains, especially auto repair related stains, from clothing. Grease or oil stains, especially from working on your car, can be removed quickly from your clothes. Get an aerosol can of brake parts cleaner, and a small, clean piece of terry cloth towel. Spray a little of the brake parts cleaner on the clean terry cloth towel. Test the cleaner on an inconspicuous part of the clothing. Stop if it harms the fabric (usually on synthetic fabrics). Do Not spray the brake parts cleaner directly on the fabric. Using the clean terry cloth towel,with the spray of brake parts cleaner on it, lightly wipe the grease or oil stain away. If the stain is not completely removed. Use another clean part of the towel, spray the brake cleaner on it, and wipe again. Usually, 2-3 separate wipes will clean the area. Let the area dry. If there is a slight “shadow” left on the clothing, it will come out in the regular washing or dry cleaning.
