How Do You Remove Car Grease From Clothes?
Car grease is a common stain that develops on clothing when you or a family member is changing the oil or performing do-it-yourself maintenance to your vehicle. When these stains develop, you need to treat the stains and remove them as quickly as possible before they set into the fabric. There are some instances, such as a family member working a long shift at the garage, when you cannot treat the clothing promptly. Either way, you can remove the grease stains with a fair amount of ease. Spray WD-40 directly onto the car grease stains, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Pour a thick layer of liquid dish soap over the grease stain, and work the soap into the stain with your fingertips. Blot the stain with an old cleaning rag to pull the grease out of the clothes and transfer it onto the old rag. Repeat until no more grease is lifted onto the rag. Rinse the area with hot water. Launder the clothing as you normally would, using your regular laundry detergent plus 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap.
