How Do You Remove Burnt Grease From A Silicone Baking Sheet?

0

Silicone cookware, with it’s rubbery elasticity and smooth feel, is favored by some bakers for its easy storage and non-stick properties. Despite this, silicone cookware can still accumulate burnt-on grease. When cleaning silicone, be gentle. Just as with more traditional non-stick coated cookware—avoid metal utensils and abrasive scrubbers so you don’t scratch or pierce the silicone. Once your silicone is pierced, there is no way to mend it. Soak your silicone cookware in water to loosen baked on debris. Wash your silicone cookware with water, liquid dish soap and a sponge by hand to remove as much as you can. Sprinkle baking soda on the silicone baking sheet. Scrub the baking soda over the cookware with your sponge until the burnt on grease is removed. Rinse the cookware well and allow to air dry.
