How Do You Remove Burn From Pots/Pans?
When in the course of human events, all great cooks, such as myself, tend to make errors, in leaving food on fire too long, or the fire is higher than suggested. Therefore, producing large areas of burns to our cookware. Hence, there is hope, against costly replacements of valued cookware. You can thank me later. Fill damaged cookware with water level just over burned area, covering entire bottom of cookware. While on stove, turn on fire or burner if electric. Add enough kitchen cleanser to cover entire area, where “you see no burn” showing, only white power. Bring mixture to boil, then remove from heat. Let stand until cookware returns to being cold and the mixture should be hard dry, cracking and flaking. The mixture should be cracked and/or flaky, easy to lift out or be able to turn cookware upside down and the burn should easily fall out. Use steel wool pad to remove resistant burn and clean the cookware as usual.
