First, work a fingernail under one of the corners of the bumper sticker, and try to peel it off. It’ll probably tear, but will make it easier for the next steps to work effectively. If any paint comes up on the back side of the sticker, stop! Soak your sponge in a bowl of distilled vinegar. This stuff is available for pennies at your local convenience store or grocery store. You should always have a bottle on hand, since it has many other household uses. Once the sponge is saturated, press the sponge on the sticker to soak it thoroughly. Scrub gently in a circular motion. As the vinegar soaks into the sticker, it will loosen the glue, and you’ll start to see it come off.
