How Do You Remove Blood Stains From Carpeting?
Being the deep, bright red color that it is, even a small amount of blood can seem like a big stain when it gets onto your carpet. Fortunately, removing these stains is easier than you might think. A little quick thinking and a few things you probably already have around the house are all you need to divert at least this part of the crisis. Blot up as much of the blood as possible with paper towels. Scrubbing will only push the blood further into the carpet and make the stain worse so stick to gentle clotting. Dissolve a teaspoon of a bleach and lanolin free dish soap to a cup of cold water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and gently apply it to the stain working from the outside of the stain to the center so as not to spread it further across the carpet. “Rinse” the area with a clean cloth dipped in cold water by gently blotting the affected area. Place a fan nearby or cover the area with baking soda to help it dry faster. Vacuum once the area is completely dry to fluff the carpet
