How do you remove black mildew from around plastic windows.?
I get this problem every winter around most of my plastic window frames. I have tried several products and the only one that seems to work is Dettol Anti-Bacterial Mould & Mildew Remover. It is available in most supermarkets and cost about £2 for 500ml. I spray on once and leave for 20 minutes. Then if there is any mould remaining, I spray again and scrub with and old tooth brush. Unfortunately it does smell of bleach, but if you open all the windows it doesn’t last for long. Also, maybe wear a mask and gloves while using. This stuff seems to keep the mould at bay for about 3 months. I usually have to clean mine mid way through and at the end of the winter.
