How Do You Remove Bathroom Tub Mold?
Mold thrives in a damp, warm, dark environment. This makes the bathtub an ideal spot for mold growth. Mold can be removed from the bathtub using cleaners and tools that most residents will have on-hand. Using the proper method for mold removal is essential, as improper methods could result in hours of scrubbing. Put on a facemask and rubber gloves. The mask will prevent inhalation of chemicals and mold spores, and the rubber gloves will prevent skin damage from contact with chemicals. Apply a bead of bleach paste (contained in “bleach pens”) along the grout line at the top of the bathtub. Pull the lever to block the bathtub drain or, in the case of an old bathtub, put the drain stopper in place.
