Ball-point pen ink gets into dryers when the pen is left in a pocket. Remove the ink in a couple different ways. The most important thing to remember is timing. You need to remove the ink as soon as possible. It’s possible for the ink to rub off onto clothes, so it’s important to remove the stains before you try to finish laundry. The more heat cycles the dryer goes through, the more the ink will bake onto the surface. Wet a load of old towels or rags. Put the wet towels or rags in the dryer. Run for the normal cycle. The ink melts and some will collect on the towel. As soon as the load is done, wipe down the sides. The ink will be melted. Pour nail polish remover on a rag. Scrub at the ink stain. Wipe off the dryer drum with a wet cloth to remove any residue.
