An old wiper on your 1994 Buick Roadmaster should be removed to prevent damage to the windshield. Since the Roadmaster’s wiper blade assembly is partially constructed of metal, a peeled or chipped rubber blade on the assembly can expose a metal edge to the windshield. If the wiper is turned on in this state, you could end up with a very expensive repair on your hands. While replacement wipers are available at most auto parts stores, you need to know how to remove the wiper first. Grab the windshield wiper arm up near the wiper blade assembly and pull up on the assembly until the wiper arm is nearly vertical. It should sit perpendicular to the windshield.
