How Do You Remove An Ink Stain In Wood?
Little kids and ink pens can be a disastrous combination in your home. Ink never seems to want to stay on the surfaces it was intended to be on and oftentimes it is our furniture that pays the price. In the interest of putting your mind at ease, ink stains on wood require minimal effort to remove. Dampen a clean cloth with water and wring it out well to dispel any excess moisture. Rub the ink stain with the clean cloth for five to 10 seconds. Rub the area with a clean dry cloth. At this point the stain may be gone. If not, continue with the next steps. Apply a small amount of dish soap or powdered detergent to the cloth. Scrub the area gently until the stain is gone. Rinse the area with a clean damp cloth to remove any residual soap. Wipe the area dry with a clean dry cloth. Polish the wood with a furniture polish and a clean cloth to restore the wood’s shine.
