How Do You Remove An Ink Stain From Vinyl?

0

There is nothing worse than when vinyl is left with an unattractive ink stain. Ink does not wipe away easily, and when you attempt to clean the stain with the wrong products, you can quickly spread the ink stain—sometimes permanently. To get rid of the ink stain it is important to know what cleaning elements to use and to act as soon as you notice the stain. Rub a stick of butter directly onto the ink stain. When possible, sit the vinyl in direct sunlight for at least one full day. The combination of the sunlight and the salt in the butter will draw the ink out of the vinyl. Moisten a cleaning rag with water and a drop of liquid dish soap, and rub over the stain. This will wipe away the ink stain. The dish soap also has a de-greasing element that will remove the butter residue. Pour rubbing alcohol onto one edge of a cleaning cloth and rub into the ink stain if any ink remains. The alcohol is a bit stronger and will remove any remaining residue.
