How Do You Remove An Emachines 5000 Keyboard?
Notebook keyboards have a tendency of being easily ruined. A common task in the notebook world is removing keyboards for repair or replacement. Though it may seem like a daunting task, removing the keyboard from an eMachines 5000 notebook is actually a simple process requiring no special tools. Step 1 Open the notebook’s screen and lay it back as far as it will go. Do not, however, strain the screen in any way that will damage it. Step 2 Press a flat head screwdriver under the front of the plastic bar just behind the keyboard on the notebook. Slightly pry up the bar, and then hold it up with a finger. Step 3 Press the screwdriver under the other side of the bar and pull the entire assembly up and away from the notebook. Step 4 Keep the bar’s ribbon cord attached to the motherboard and set the bar back onto the screen of the computer. Step 5 Remove both of the screws securing the keyboard, and slide it out gently. Step 6 Follow the keyboard’s ribbon cord to its plug on the motherboard.
