How Do You Remove An Alsons Bathtub Faucet?
Alsons bathtub faucets are known for their smooth handle action and unique designs. Unlike most faucet assemblies, Alsons bathtub faucets do not use escutcheon plates, nor do they use a cap over the handle’s retaining screw. Over time, the seals within the faucet corrode and eventually crack. When either occurs, leaks may occur underneath or behind the faucet handle. Whether you decide to repair or replace the hardware, you will first need to remove the faulty faucet. Turn off the faucet’s water supply and remove the faucet’s handles. Remove the faucet handle’s retaining screw with a Phillips-head screwdriver. The chrome screw is located in the center of the handle. Some Alsons bathtub faucet assemblies combine two handles in a single assembly. For these designs, remove the faucet handle’s retaining screw for both handles.
