How Do You Remove All Fish From A Pond Without Killing Them Or Draining?

0

Want to temporarily rid your pond of fish, but not interested in being a fish murderer? Read on. • Fill a bucket with tepid (lukewarm) water. Too hot or too cold will shock the fish. If possible, just fill with pond water. Set aside. • Put your pond skimmer in the pond. • Gently move it around and scoop up the fish. • Gently put the fish into the bucket. Don’t just dump them in. Put the pond skimmer in as much as diameter of bucket will allow, even if it’s just a corner, then gently tip the pond skimmer until the fish is in the water. • Do whatever it is you are doing to your pond (cleaning, repairing, taking a bath, whatever). Gently put the fish back in by holding bucket over water, then submerging and tipping bucket under water.
