How Do You Remove Air Waves Under Vinyl Flooring?
You moved in to your new house a few weeks ago, and now that the unpacking is done you notice there are unsightly waves of air under your vinyl flooring. Caused by inadequate application of adhesive during installation, these air bubbles won’t affect the durability of the flooring. But they’re probably going to drive you to distraction if you don’t get rid of them. Clear away the furniture and get ready to banish those pesky waves forever! Step 1 Sweep the floor thoroughly and clean it with your usual floor cleaner. Let the floor dry before you begin the repair. Step 2 Locate the approximate middle of the bubble and, holding the needle perpendicular to the floor, firmly poke a hole through the vinyl. Step 3 Starting at the outside edge of the bubble and holding the rolling pin between your hands, slowly roll the wave toward the air hole, allowing time for all the air to escape.
