How Do You Remove A Wiper Switch From A 1990 Ford Crown Vic?

0

When the wiper switch fails in your 1990 Ford Crown Victoria, you need to replace it right away. Not having functional windshield wipers can be extremely dangerous, especially if it rains while you’re driving. Replacement wiper switches for your Crown Vic are combination switches and can be purchased from most auto-parts stores. However, the best fit is achieved with a factory original replacement. Unscrew the Phillips-head screws holding the steering-column cover in place. Pull down on the bottom half of the steering-column cover to remove it. Remove the two screws that hold the combination switch to the steering column. Gently pull the switch away from the column. You will need to disconnect it from the wiring harness. Pull the main harness electrical connector off the switch’s connector to complete the removal process.
