How Do You Remove A Thetford Toilet From A Motorhome?
Thetford permanent toilets are the most popular toilets installed in recreational vehicles. There are several different Thetford models, but the basic removal directions are similar. Installation and removal is comparable to the process used for conventional toilets in houses. Removal takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Turn off the water supply that runs to the toilet by turning the water pump switch to “off” and disconnecting the water hose connection on the outside of the motorhome (if connected). Turn off the water supply valve for the toilet spray hose attachment (if your toilet has one) located behind the toilet. To turn the valve off, use your hand to twist the knob counter-clockwise. Pop off the toilet bolt covers (if installed), using a flathead screwdriver. Thetford toilets usually have two toilet bolt covers. Depending on the model of the toilet, there will either be a bolt cover at the front and back of the toilet or at the left and right side of the toilet. Remove
