How Do You Remove A Swarm Of Bees?
Overcrowding in a bee hive often leaves little room for reproduction, so some bees will “swarm” — cluster together and fly off — to find a new home. A swarm comprises workers, drones and a queen. To remove a swarm of bees that has located in your home, you can follow these steps. Remove the bees without harming them. Insecticide kills bees, so first try donning protective clothing and guiding the bees into a bee trap. This is best done at night, when bees are less active. If the first step didn’t work, or if you don’t want to try it, you can use an insecticide to eliminate them. You can buy the insecticide and do it yourself, or hire a professional. You also can drown the bees with a mixture of soap and water. TSpray the mixture on the bees to keep them from flying. Continue to spray to drown them. If you’ve followed either step 2 or 3, you’ll need to dispose of the dead bees to keep them from being contacted by people or other animals.
