How Do You Remove A Stripped Screw From A Computer?
A stripped screw in your computer case can prevent you from removing the side panel or from removing the cards within the computer, an undesirable outcome in either case. Correct this issue by using a screw extractor, a device that fits inside the stripped screw and rotates in the opposite direction to facilitate removal of the screw trapped within. Drill into the head of the damaged screw with your electric drill to a depth of 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Insert the screw extractor into the hole made by the drill. Rotate the screw extractor counterclockwise using pliers to remove the screw from the computer.
