How Do You Remove A Serpentine Belt On A 1995 Chevrolet Corsica?
The Serpentine belt in the Chevrolet Corsica is responsible for powering all the accessory features that are along the belt path. This includes the air conditioner, power steering, water pump and alternator. The belt is turned by the crankshaft and runs along pulleys that are connected to these components. The belt needs to be replaced when it is showing signs of cracking or tearing. The belt will slide off the pulleys with ease once you loosen the tensioner pulley. Open the hood to access the engine compartment. The belt is located along the side of the motor to the passenger side. Locate the tensioner pulley under the alternator. Place the wrench on the bolt and pull up to loosen the pulley. This will put slack on the belt. Pull the belt off the tensioner pulley. Release the wrench. Pull the belt off the remaining pulleys. Take the belt out from under the hood.
