Siphon the fluid out of the power steering reservoir. Remove the belt off the pulley. Now let’s remove the bolts that hold the pump onto the motor. So remove those bolts with a socket set. Some bolts are hidden in the pulley. So make sure you get all bolts. Now remove the pump. There’s a clip that holds the hoses together. Be sure to remove this clip when removing the pump. Now go ahead and remove the pulley. Remove the pressure line from the pump. Use a wrench to remove it. If you have any electrical connections on your power steering pump, now is the time to remove it. Remove the return line. Just remove the clamp with a pair of pliers. Push down on the hose and remove it. Remove the pump. To install the new pump, just reverse these steps.
