How Do You Remove A Mustang Cobra Engine?
Usually the engines in Cobra model Mustangs take on a lot of stress and abuse throughout the life of the car. Sometimes the engine locks up and you will need to pull it out for repair, or you may want to replace the old engine with a bigger, higher performing engine. Park your Mustang Cobra on even ground where you can position the hoist in front of the Cobra. Open the hood and use the wrench to remove the nuts that connect the hood to the frame. Remove the hood from the car and set aside. Jack up the front right side of the Cobra and place a jack stand at the support point under the car’s frame and lower the Cobra onto the stand. Do this to the left side of the Cobra as well so that the front end is completely off of the ground. Place the jack under the engine block and raise the engine slightly to take the weight off of the engine and transmission mounts.
