Mud daubers are wasps that build nests out of mud. Having wasps around the house is no fun. They’re annoying, dangerous and even deadly to those who are allergic to them. The only way to keep wasps away is to remove their nests from the area. Luckily, you can do this quickly and safely. Step 1 Buy a can of wasp and hornet spray. These products are available at home improvement stores and most grocery stores. Make sure to get one with a minimum spray distance of 20 feet. Step 2 Wait until dusk, when it starts to get cooler. Mud daubers are less active at night and when the air temperature is lower. Step 3 Spray the wasp nest with the aerosol can of wasp killer. Thoroughly soak the nest so that the spray kills the insects inside. Step 4 Move quickly to an indoor area.
