How Do You Remove A Gummed Label From Plastic Bottles?
Many different foods and beverages come in plastic containers. Some of these containers are large enough to keep water or homemade drinks in. Unfortunately, most of these plastic bottles or containers have labels glued to their surface. Adhesive on plastic can be difficult to remove, but it is not impossible with the appropriate procedures and tools. Fill a kitchen sink with hot water and two squirts of dish detergent. Place plastic containers in the hot, soapy water and let them soak for 30 minutes. Remove the plastic containers from the sink and scrub the gummy labels with a nylon brush. Remove as much of the label as possible with a dish rag. Rinse the soap from the containers. Place the plastic containers into an empty sink and pour vegetable or olive oil over any remaining label and adhesive on the bottles. Allow the oil to soak into the glue and labels for 10 minutes.
