How Do You Remove A Glue Stain From Suede?

0

Removing glue from any kind of leather is a tricky process, but suede in particular is hard to treat because of its delicacy. If you have a glue stain on your suede, however, you do not need to consider the item lost as long as you treat it correctly and as quickly as possible. The longer it sits, the harder the stain will be to remove entirely. Use a butter knife (or some other blunt tool) to gently scrape at the spot to remove as much surface glue as possible. Mix mild dish soap with lukewarm water and beat it to create a lot of suds. Use a clean, light colored sponge to apply the suds only to the glue spot. Gently rub–yet do not saturate–the suede. Use a clean, dry cloth to blot the area and soak up any moisture. Allow suede to dry completely. If any glue or residue remains, repeat the process. If this process isn’t working, consult a cleaner that specializes in leather and suede.
