Silk is an especially delicate fabric to deal with when it comes to removing certain types of stains. If you follow the proceeding steps and tips, and act immediately, you can become successful when trying to eradicate this sort of stain from any silk material. Test your silk fabric for colorfastness before proceeding. If the fabric passes the colorfast test, apply rubbing alcohol to the stain and blot the area with an absorbent pad that has been moistened with rubbing alcohol and two parts water. (If your fabric does not pass the colorfastness test, spray on a fabric spot cleaner and follow the directions on the label of the spot cleaner you’re using.)
