If you ever need to change your timing belt, or remove or replace any of the accessories on your vehicle, you may have to remove the crank pulley. Step 1 Place the end of the tire wrench over the lug nuts on the driver’s side of your vehicle. Turn the wrench about 1/8 to 1/4 degrees. You just want to break the nuts loose, not remove them.
