How Do You Remove A Chocolate Candy Stain On A Couch?
Your cousin just left with her adorable kids, and you’re smiling from the memories brought back by her visit. That is, until you see the gob of chocolate that sweet little Johnny left on your brand new couch! Now you’re wringing your hands, not sure how to start cleaning it or whether it’ll ever come out. Calm down–it’s not impossible to remove a chocolate candy stain from a couch. Place four ice cubes in a plastic bag and hold it over the chocolate for two minutes or until the chocolate has hardened. Scrape the chocolate off the upholstery, using a plastic spoon or hard piece of plastic and taking care not to gouge into the material. Repeat if necessary until all chunks of candy are gone and only the coloring remains. Mix 1/2 tsp. detergent into 1/2 cup warm water and blot it onto the stain, taking care not to soak the material. Wait two minutes and blot the solution up with a dry cotton pad or paper towel. Pour 1 tbsp. ammonia into 1/2 cup warm water. Blot the spot as before, again
