How Do You Remove A Broken Cork?
• Find a lengthy wood screw. A sheet metal screw will work, too. • Using your thumb and apply gentle pressure, screw the wood screw into the broken portion of the cork that is still in the bottle. • Once you have at least a 1/4 of an inch or so into the cork, simply pull the screw up and remove the cork. If this doesn’t work, you’re hosed. Push the cork down into the bottle and then try using a coffee filter to strain out the residual cork pieces. • Take a decent sized sharp knife stab about an inch into the cork. Twist the cork out.
