Before you can install the vessel sink, you will need to remove the bathroom vanity. The removal process is not difficult. The vanity countertop secures to the wall with caulk. There are no screws securing the countertop to the cabinet. You can remove the countertop and sink bowl in one piece. Because of the weight of the counter top, recruit a friend to help you remove the bathroom vanity. Shut off the water supply cutoff valves under the sink. The cutoff valves are on the two supply lines going to the faucet. Turn the cutoff valves clockwise to shut off the water supply. Turn on the water faucets to allow any remaining water to drain from the upper lines. Go back under the sink and place a bucket under the water supply connections to the faucet.
